VIDEO: Why Students Were Evacuated - Explanation from the Director of the 'Pit' School
Students at the Hakob Oshakan High School, commonly known as the 'Pit' school in Yerevan, have not been attending classes for the second consecutive day, with lessons being conducted remotely.
Three days ago, tremors were felt in the school building, prompting the school's director, Gayane Mkrtchyan, to alert the Emergency Services and the Yerevan Municipality, and to make the decision to evacuate the students.
The cause of the tremors and fluctuations has been attributed to construction work taking place about 200 meters away from the school. To get familiar with the situation on-site, "Auroranews" visited the school and spoke with the director.
