A New School to Be Built in Kiran
A new school will be constructed in Kiran. According to the government's decision, a 0.6-hectare plot of land in the village has been assigned to the State Property Management Committee for the purpose of building a school in the administrative area of Kiran. The existing school in the village is located near the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. Following the latest border demarcation and delimitation works, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that if the security guarantees for the villagers are not deemed sufficient, a new school will be built if necessary.
“We will discuss the school issue in Kiran with the parents of the students. Additional security measures will be implemented there. If this, however, does not satisfy the parents, we will transfer the project and, apologizing, will build a new school in another part of the village, and we will fortify that school, for instance, for border guard duties,” he said.
