Criminal Proceedings Initiated Following Death of Lifelong Convict in October 27 Case
Criminal proceedings have been initiated following the death of Ashot Knyazyan, a lifelong convict in the October 27 case. This information was confirmed by Gor Abrahamyan, the spokesperson for the Investigative Committee, in response to a question from “Lurer”.
According to him, a report regarding the convict’s death was received, and preliminary information suggests it may be classified as sudden death. Based on Article 155, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code (murder), criminal proceedings have been initiated. An examination of the crime scene has been conducted. Abrahamyan noted that no signs of violence were found on the body during the external examination.
Within the framework of the proceedings, several individuals have been interrogated. The cause of Knyazyan's death remains unclear and will be determined after receiving the forensic examination results on the body.
It is noteworthy that Ashot Knyazyan, aged 64, died on August 26.
