Moscow Has Not Requested Assistance from CSTO in Kursk
Moscow has not officially requested assistance from the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). There have been no formal negotiations or meetings to discuss the situation in the Russian border regions, according to a response from the CSTO secretariat to a query from the Kazakh service of 'Azatutyun'.
It was emphasized that the issue of deploying collective forces is resolved by consensus. 'However, this does not mean that any of the allies cannot cooperate within the framework of bilateral relations.'
