Google Disconnects Monetization for Russian Bloggers Without Warning
Google has started deleting Russian AdSense accounts without prior notice. This was reported on Wednesday, August 14, by one of the bloggers who lost their monetization to Gazeta.Ru.
“Monetization is impossible as your YouTube AdSense account linked to your channel has been deleted,” states a message posted in the monetization section for Russian bloggers, according to their account.
Some Russian authors received notifications that their AdSense accounts would be deactivated at the end of August. However, bloggers who experienced account suspensions on August 14 did not receive such notifications. The reasons for this discrepancy remain unknown.
Monetization through AdSense is a primary source of income for bloggers on the YouTube platform. This service allows bloggers to earn money from ads attached to their videos.
