Iran's Intelligence Services Recruit Israelis on Social Media: JPost
Iranian intelligence operatives are recruiting Israeli citizens on social media for tasks that could harm the security of the Jewish state, according to a report by The Jerusalem Post, citing Israel's internal security agency (Shin Bet).
According to the report, Israeli counter-intelligence has identified and monitored numerous fake accounts linked to this activity. Additionally, posts have been discovered in Telegram groups and channels offering 'interesting and enticing' jobs, promising high rewards for their execution.
The publication noted that a significant number of Israelis who received such messages refrained from responding and reported the incidents to the relevant authorities.
The Shin Bet has stated that, together with other security agencies, it will continue to expose Iranian activities in Israel, including attempts to disrupt national cohesion, demoralize the public, and deepen divisions within society.
