Short-term Rain and Thunderstorms Expected in Some Regions: What Weather to Anticipate in Yerevan

On August 8-9 and 12, after noon, as well as during the night of the 11th and after noon, short-term rain and thunderstorms are expected in some regions of the Republic of Armenia. Weather without precipitation is forecasted for August 10. This information is provided by the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia.

The wind will be coming from the southwest at a speed of 2-5 m/s, with expected gusts during thunderstorms reaching 18-23 m/s. In the evening hours, wind intensification is expected in Armavir, Kotayk, and the foothills of Aragats with a speed of 14-18 m/s.

The air temperature is not expected to change significantly. From August 8-12 in Yerevan, dry weather is forecast. Wind intensification is also anticipated during thunderstorms and in the evening hours at a speed of 14-18 m/s. On the afternoon of August 8, temperatures will reach 33-35 degrees Celsius, while evening temperatures will register between +28 and +30 degrees.
