Azerbaijan Begins Gas Supply to Slovenia
After Turkey, Georgia, Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, and Serbia, Slovenia has become the ninth country to receive gas from Baku.
"Starting from August 1, 2024, SOCAR has begun gas supply to Slovenia, in accordance with a memorandum of understanding signed on July 17 of this year between SOCAR and Geoplin, the largest natural gas market company in Slovenia," said a statement from the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan.
The Azerbaijani side has not clarified the volumes of gas being exported.
