Armenia Receives Advisory Support for Armed Forces Reforms from the U.S. and Other Partners - MoD Responds to Uzra Zeya's Statement
The Armenian Ministry of Defense has commented on the statement made by U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Uzra Zeya, regarding the appointment of a U.S. Army representative to work within the Armenian Ministry of Defense.
In response to an inquiry from Armenpress, the Armenian Ministry of Defense stated that within the framework of armed forces reforms, Armenia has received and continues to receive advisory support from the United States and other international partners, which can be of both short-term and long-term nature.

On July 18, Uzra Zeya stated in an interview with Hetq that a U.S. Army representative would be working at the Armenian Ministry of Defense. Armenpress has also requested additional clarification from the U.S. Embassy in Armenia on the topic. The embassy indicated that Washington intends to support Yerevan in improving security sector governance.
