New Controversial Story: Will the Agrarian University's Building Be Transferred to the French University? - 'Hraparak'
A new controversial story is unfolding regarding the National Agrarian University of Armenia. The government is preparing to take the second building of the Agrarian University, with an area of about 10,000 sq. meters, and transfer it to the French University in Armenia. This was reported by the newspaper 'Hraparak'.
According to our sources at the university, recently, during non-working hours, the head of the Committee of Higher Education and Science, Sargis Hayotsyan, and the French ambassador visited the Agrarian University. Accompanied by the acting rector Hrachya Zakoyan, they toured the second building and familiarized themselves with the building conditions. The visit was conducted during the vacation period to avoid unnecessary noise. However, the faculty members of the university became aware of the purpose of the visit, and they are preparing to carry out protests.
It should be noted that in 2023, the 5th floor of the Agrarian University’s second building, with an area of approximately 2500 sq. meters, was transferred to the University of Architecture and Construction.
