Poland Will Not Transfer Its F-16 Fighters to Ukraine

Poland will not transfer its F-16 fighters to Ukraine. This information was reported by the PAP agency, citing a source from the National Defense Ministry.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky announced that after a meeting with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, he received a positive decision from the Polish government regarding Kyiv's potential receipt of F-16 fighters more quickly.

“This is not about the transfer of Polish F-16 fighters. They remain and protect Polish airspace,” the PAP report stated.

It was previously reported that Ukraine would receive its first F-16 fighters this summer. Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, and Belgium plan to supply more than 60 such aircraft to Ukraine.

Russia believes that supplying weapons to Ukraine hinders resolution and directly involves NATO countries in the conflict. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov noted that any cargo containing weapons for Ukraine will become a legitimate target for Russia. He stated that the U.S. and NATO are directly participating in the conflict, not only through the supply of weapons but also by training military personnel in Great Britain, Germany, Italy, and other countries.
