Charles Michel Holds Separate Meetings with Pashinyan and Aliyev
Charles Michel, the President of the European Council, has held separate meetings with the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan. This was reported by Radio Azatutyun, citing diplomatic sources.
“They were separate but productive meetings,” said one diplomat close to the negotiations in an interview with Azatutyun.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and President Ilham Aliyev are participating in the 4th Summit of the European Political Community in London. Earlier, Yerevan and Baku accused each other of sabotaging the meeting between the leaders on the Armenian-Azerbaijani issue.
The previous meeting mediated by the European Council President took place last summer in Brussels. Michel had assessed the discussions between the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan as sincere and substantive.
