There Have Been Assassination Attempts Against Putin, Says Budanov
The head of Ukraine's military intelligence, Kyryl Budanov, has announced that the intelligence community is aware of assassination attempts against Vladimir Putin, although so far they have been unsuccessful. He discussed this in an interview with the NV publication, as reported by STRANA.ua.
'There have been attempts, but as you can see, they have yet to be successful,' Budanov stated.
Budanov recalled stories from his grandmother, who was also a witness to Joseph Stalin's death. 'She said that people at that time thought the entire world had collapsed for them, and it was unclear how to live. Putin has been in power for over 20 years, so it would feel very similar. Now, Russians are afraid of losing him because he is seen as the guarantor of their life's stability,' Budanov added.
