Netherlands to Allocate 20 Million Euros for Ukraine to Purchase Drones
The Netherlands will allocate 20 million euros for Ukraine to purchase one million unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), announced the Kingdom's Ministry of Defence.
"The Netherlands will contribute 20 million euros to the coalition's joint fund for new unmanned aerial vehicles, enabling Ukraine to acquire 1 million so-called offensive drones with first-person functionality," the announcement published on the ministry's website stated.
As mentioned, the coalition aims to provide Ukraine with one million such UAVs this year and then consider the purchase of other types, such as reconnaissance drones.
Currently, over 265 companies have registered to supply UAVs to Ukraine with first-person observation capabilities, including 9 from the Netherlands.
