Stoltenberg Expresses Hope That Ukraine Will Join NATO by 2034
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has expressed hope that Ukraine will become a member of the North Atlantic Alliance by 2034.
“I truly hope that by then Ukraine will become an ally,” he stated in an interview with DPA, responding to a question regarding how the composition of the alliance might change by 2034.
Stoltenberg noted that other countries are also applying for NATO membership, but he refrained from commenting on the prospects of their admission to the alliance.
