China and Azerbaijan Adopt Joint Declaration on Strategic Partnership
China and Azerbaijan have adopted a joint declaration on strategic partnership between the two countries in Astana. This was reported by Anadolu Agency.
According to the text of the document, the Chinese side "strongly supports the peace agenda proposed by the Azerbaijani side and considers geopolitical intrigues aimed at maintaining confrontation to be counterproductive."
Beijing and Baku expressed their willingness to deepen practical cooperation within the framework of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative. China also expressed readiness to actively participate in the construction of the Trans-Caspian international transport corridor (known as the "Middle Corridor").
