We Must Respond to This: Putin

The deployment of medium and short-range missiles by the United States in various regions of the world is causing concern for Russia and demands a response. Moscow may begin the production of these missile systems and, later, potentially their deployment, stated Russian President Vladimir Putin during an operational meeting with permanent members of the Security Council.

“It is now known that the U.S. is not only producing these missile systems but has also already brought them to Europe for exercises in Denmark, and just recently, it was announced that they are in the Philippines. It is unclear whether they have removed these missiles from there or not,” explained the head of state.

“In any case, we must respond to this and make decisions about what we should do in that direction moving forward,” he added. “Apparently, we need to start the production of these strike systems and then, depending on the situation, make decisions about where, if necessary for ensuring our security, they should be deployed,” he said.
