There Were Many Different Threats, Promises, and Demands: Lavrov
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has stated that he has long ceased to follow Ukraine's announcements regarding the next peace summit. Previously, Gabriel Lucinger, head of the International Security Department of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, mentioned at a conference in Burgenstock that the next summit regarding Ukraine will not be held in Europe, and that Russia should be involved in one way or another. According to the diplomat, a potential venue for the summit is Saudi Arabia.
“I have stopped monitoring what the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry announces. There were many different threats, promises, demands... I have long ceased to read the announcements about how they specifically want to exit the crisis. It is impossible to analyze them,” Lavrov said following the CSTO Foreign Ministers' meeting.
He added that the whole point of the Swiss conference was for the majority of countries globally to rally around Vladimir Zelensky's proposal, but Kyiv realized that the global majority does not want to sign under ultimatums against Russia.
