Azerbaijan's Ruling Political Force Proposes Dissolution of Parliament
The ruling "Yeni Azerbaijan" party has unanimously decided at its board meeting on June 20 to appeal to the President of Azerbaijan to dissolve the Milli Majlis (National Assembly).
Party Vice President Tair Budanov stated that parliamentary elections should be held in November during the international COP 29 summit on climate issues taking place in Baku.
Notably, the last presidential elections in Azerbaijan were also conducted in an extraordinary manner, several months ahead of the scheduled date.
