Alen Simonian to Visit Latvia
The President of the National Assembly, Alen Simonian, will lead a delegation on an official visit to Latvia from June 25 to 27. According to a directive issued by Simonian, which is based on Article 5, Part 5 of the Law on the Guarantees of Activities of the National Assembly Deputies of the Republic of Armenia and Article 209 of the Labor Code of the Republic of Armenia, the following delegation has been designated:
- Alen SIMONIAN - President of the National Assembly
- Arsen THOROSYAN - Head of the Armenia-Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia Friendship Group, National Assembly Deputy
- Eduard AGHAJANYAN - National Assembly Deputy
- Maria KARAPETYAN - National Assembly Deputy
- Ashkhen HAYRAPETYAN - Advisor to the President of the National Assembly
- Tigran SEYRANYAN - Head of the Department of External Relations of the National Assembly Staff
- Alexander MKHITARYAN - Head of the Protocol Department of the National Assembly Staff
- Hripsime MNATSAKANYAN - Senior Specialist of the Interparliamentary Relations and European Integration Division of the External Relations Department of the National Assembly Staff
- Erik MELKONYAN - Lead Specialist of the Passport Service Division of the Protocol Department of the National Assembly Staff (from June 23 to 27)
- David HAKOBYAN - Photographer-Operator of the News Production Division of the Public Relations and Communication Department of the National Assembly Staff
- Hrayr KALASHYAN - Television Operator of the News Production Division of the Public Relations and Communication Department of the National Assembly Staff
According to the directive, the head of the National Assembly staff, D. ARAKELYAN, is instructed to arrange payments for travel expenses (M. Karapetyan’s Yerevan-Riga-Bucharest trip), representation costs, daily allowances, and accommodation (for 7 individuals from June 25 to 27, and for M. Karapetyan from June 25 to 28) based on the actual expenses incurred, in accordance with the provisions of the 2024 state budget allocated for the National Assembly, taking into account the requirements of the directive issued by the President of the National Assembly on May 1, 2018, regarding the organization of business trips for deputies and staff of the National Assembly. Furthermore, it is noted that the inviting side will cover the accommodation expenses (for 4 individuals) related to the trip.
