Armenia to Acquire 36 CAESAR Howitzers from France: Le Figaro
According to an agreement with France, Armenia is set to acquire 36 CAESAR howitzers. This was reported by Jean-Christophe Buisson, the deputy editor of the French magazine Le Figaro, on his X page.
It is to be recalled that on June 18, France's Minister of Armed Forces Sébastien Lecornu announced on his X page that Yerevan and Paris had signed a contract for the acquisition of CAESAR howitzers. Earlier, it was reported that a military-technical cooperation agreement was signed between the Armenian Ministry of Defense and the French company KNDS.
Buisson noted, “To strengthen defense against Azerbaijan, Armenia has acquired 36 CAESAR howitzers from France, which are set to be delivered over the next 15 months.”
Furthermore, it is worth mentioning that on June 17, Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan traveled to France, where he attended a military-technical exhibition and secured new agreements with Minister Sébastien Lecornu.
