Narishkin: It Is Too Early to Speak About U.S. Military Bases in Armenia
It is still too early to talk about the presence of U.S. military bases in Armenia. This was stated by Sergey Narishkin, the Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, in an interview with TASS.
“It is too early to discuss this,” he said in response to a question about whether to expect U.S. military bases in the republic in connection with changes in Yerevan's political stance.
It is worth noting that in the joint statement issued at the conclusion of the Armenia-U.S. strategic dialogue meeting, the parties indicated that they would strengthen cooperation in the field of security and raise the level of collaboration to that of a strategic partnership.
