Medvedev Calls to 'Annihilate' Countries Imposing Sanctions Against Russia
Russia must endeavor every day to inflict "maximum damage" on the USA and its allies for the sanctions they have implemented against the country and its citizens, said Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council.
“To achieve this, we must continue to search for their economy's critical vulnerabilities and strike at them across all sectors. We need to cause damage everywhere—crippling the operations of their companies and state institutions. Literally annihilating their energy, industry, transportation, banking, and social services,” Medvedev wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to him, Russia should provide all types of armaments, except for nuclear ones, to the West’s “enemies” and initiate warfare in space. Medvedev also called for organizing mass riots in major cities of Western countries.
“They fear social explosions. Let’s organize them. We must unleash all the most terrifying nightmarish fears in their media space, using all their phantom pains. No longer should we spare their psyche,” he noted.
The life of the USA and its allies should transform into “a universal insane nightmare, where they cannot distinguish wild fiction from the day’s reality, infernal evil from the mundanity of life,” Medvedev emphasized.
“And no rules against the enemy. Let them receive everything to harm Russia, and as painfully as possible. To invest at every moment,” he added, quoting from the Old Testament (Exodus 21:24): “An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, as he has done, so shall it be done to him.”
Medvedev's post came after the USA imposed over 300 new sanctions against Russia, including those targeting the Moscow Exchange, the National Clearing Center (the counterpart of Moscow's currency transactions), and the National Reserves.
Additionally, Washington has banned the provision of various services to Russian companies in the software and IT sectors since September 12. The USA has also imposed restrictions against GHG projects ("Arctic LNG-1", "Arctic LNG-3", "Murmansk LNG", "Gazprom Invest", "Rusgazdobycha", "Murmansk-Transgaz", and LLC "Obskyy Gas Chemical Complex").
Maria Zakharova, official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, stated that Moscow will not leave "such aggressive actions unanswered."
