Kremlin Highlights Rise of Right-Wing Parties in European Parliament
The Kremlin has noted the successes of right-wing parties in the European Parliament elections. This was announced by the press secretary of the President of Russia, Dmitry Peskov.
“We also see an increase in the popularity of right-wing parties. This dynamic is visible to the naked eye, and certainly, despite the fact that pro-European parties are still maintaining their leading positions for now, over time, right-wing parties will be on their heels,” he stated.
Macron has expressed hope that the far right will oppose until the parliament is dissolved. Peskov added that Moscow is monitoring these processes. According to him, French President Emmanuel Macron's decision to call for early parliamentary elections after the failure of voting is an internal matter for Paris.
“We will follow this closely, especially given that the French leadership still has a highly unfriendly, even hostile attitude towards our country,” clarified the Kremlin representative.
The President's press secretary added that Russia does not interfere in the internal affairs of other states, contrary to the allegations widespread in Europe and America.
