Bridge Collapse in Akhtala Cuts Off Access for Approximately 5500 Residents, Says MP
The collapse of the bridge in Akhtala has severed connections for the communities of Akhtala, Shamlugh, Mets Ayrum, Chochkan, Pkhr Ayrum, Bendik, and Karkop, affecting around 5500 residents. This was reported by Aren Mkrtchyan, a member of the National Assembly from the 'Civil Contract' faction, on his Facebook page.
'A large amount of heavy machinery has been mobilized to rapidly restore access to the nearly impassable road. Helicopters will be deployed if necessary. Currently, there are no issues with food or essential supplies in the seven mentioned settlements. The Akhtala Medical Center and the Chochkan outpatient clinic are operating normally,' the post noted.
