International Committee of the Red Cross Representatives Meet Armenian Prisoners in Baku
Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) office in Baku visited Armenian prisoners who are being held unlawfully this month. Zara Amatuni, head of communication programs for the ICRC delegation in Armenia, informed Sputnik Armenia about this.
"The meeting took place with individuals whose presence in Baku's prisons has been confirmed by the Azerbaijani authorities," she said.
Amatuni noted that the visit occurred, as always, within the framework of the ICRC's procedures. The detainees were given the opportunity to communicate with their families.
It is worth mentioning that the last visit by ICRC representatives to Armenian prisoners held in Baku's jails was at the end of February.
