Human Rights Defender Remains Reluctant to Visit Kiranats for Meeting with Locals

Kiranats is experiencing a tense situation, as government officials are offering residents 'compensation' in exchange for handing over their homes to Azerbaijan, a proposal that the locals are rejecting. They have now blocked the interstate road.
One of the women expressed that they are demanding a meeting with the Human Rights Defender and the regional governor. The media outlet has reached out to the Human Rights Defender's office to clarify whether the Defender plans to visit Kiranats and meet with the residents.
