VIDEO: Europe’s Largest Volcano, Etna, Begins Emitting Smoke Rings
Europe’s largest volcano, Etna, has started emitting smoke rings. "Volcanic smoke rings" are quite a rare phenomenon. The last time something like this occurred was in 2013, following an eruption.
In reality, the rings are not made of smoke but of condensed gases. This primarily refers to water vapor, which is generated from magma. A ring forms when volcanic gases escape from a circular chamber.
It was previously reported that dozens of flights in Italy have been canceled due to the eruption of Mount Etna.
