Organizers of 'Krocus' Terror Attack Planned Another Attack: Media
The organizers of the terrorist attack on 'Krocus City Hall' were preparing another attack in one of the countries of Central Asia, which has been successfully prevented. This was reported by 'Izvestiya,' citing a source.
The publication's interlocutor did not specify which country the attack was planned for, but mentioned that it was supposed to take place around the same time as the assault on 'Krocus City Hall.'
The source pointed out previously unknown details regarding the preparation of the terrorist act in Moscow. According to them, the perpetrators burned the concert hall using ordinary gasoline.
"On the way to 'Krocus,' they entered a gas station, bought gasoline, and poured it into plastic bottles. They then used it to set the hall on fire," the publication's interlocutor stated.
He added that the group was not an organized criminal group in the classical sense; it had no structure and was formed literally over the course of a few weeks. Two of the participants received instructions while they were in Turkey, and the others were recruited on the territory of Russia, noted the publication's source.
