Elon Musk Announces Implant That Can Restore Vision
American billionaire Elon Musk has announced a brain implant from Neuralink that is perceived as a device capable of enabling sight for blind individuals. This information comes from RIA Novosti.
The implant will be called Blindsight. “Blindsight is Neuralink’s next product after Telepathy. Even if someone has never seen and was born blind, we believe we will be able to restore vision,” Musk wrote on his social media page.
According to him, the implant is already being tested on monkeys. He clarified that the monkeys have not been harmed during the trials.
