Azerbaijan Will Not Stop With This: Tatoyan
The events taking place in Tavush have no connection to the delimitation or demarcation of the state border. This was reported by the Center for Law and Justice, the Tatoyan Foundation.
“This is an illegal process that contradicts international norms, leading to massive violations of our rights and a perspective of disrupted security. Azerbaijan will not stop with this,” the foundation stated.
Azerbaijani armed personnel will appear near the communities of Tavush, which will isolate the communities, render various segments of the interstate road unusable and endangered, while so-called alternative routes will not fill the gap. Particularly, the Armenian-Georgian border communication through Tavush is endangered.
Strategic objects (gas pipelines, water resources, etc.) will come under Azerbaijani targeting or control. There will be new displaced persons, people will be deprived of the opportunity to move freely and safely, to earn family income; pastures, hayfields, arable land, and orchards will become unusable, and people's dignity and mental peace will be disrupted.
In other words, what is occurring in Tavush mirrors the security challenges seen in Syunik, Vayots Dzor, and Gegharkunik.
Not to mention the frequent explosions of Azerbaijani grenades and mines near communities. Since November 2020, I have continuously asserted in every possible way that security cannot be separated from humanity, and that human rights must form the basis of Armenia's diplomacy and discussions on all international platforms. This would help strengthen Armenia’s international protection, including by defending the state borders.
What is happening now is the result of gross mistakes in policies that have only strengthened Azerbaijan and continue to weaken Armenia's positions,” the statement concluded.
