Owners of 'Bomb' Club Removed Seals and Continued Operations After Brawl
The Investigative Committee of Armenia's Kotayk region reported that operational investigative measures taken within the framework of another criminal case revealed that the seal on the entrance door of the 'Bomb' club, located in the administrative territory of the Arzni community, had been removed, allowing the club to continue its operations. This has obstructed the normal course of the investigation, according to Shamshyan.com.
On the same day, officers from the Kotayk division of the police arrested 52-year-old Robert S., registered in Yerevan, 28-year-old Harutyun A. from Gegharkunik region, 42-year-old Liana A. from Yerevan, 24-year-old Anahit K. from Kotayk region, 33-year-old Shushan S. from Armavir region, 36-year-old Nairine G. from Aragatsotn region, and 34-year-old Syuzanna A. from Yerevan, based on reasonable suspicion of committing an act stipulated by Article 486 of the Criminal Code of Armenia.
Documents related to the incident were prepared by the police and forwarded to the Abovyan investigative division of the Kotayk region’s investigative department. Earlier, it was reported that a brawl had occurred in the Kotayk region on February 6. Around 5:30 AM, operational information was received at the Kotayk regional division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs that a fight was taking place among a group of individuals at the 'Bomb' club, located at the beginning of the Chayni twists on the Yerevan-Sevan highway, and there were injuries.
Similar information was also received at the Kotayk division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, indicating that the participants in the fight were the club owners and their friends. At approximately 6:40 AM, it was reported again to the Kotayk division that 30-year-old Shmavon K. from Kotayk had been transferred with a “left forearm laceration” diagnosis from the mentioned club, and emergency medics had provided first aid to 28-year-old Zara A. at the scene.
Police determined that around 5:00 AM on the same day, during an unfounded quarrel at the above-mentioned club, 31-year-old Artyom B. had assaulted Zara A., inflicting bodily harm. Following this, when attempting to detain her, her friend, Shmavon K., under the influence of alcohol, had broken a beer bottle and inflicted self-harm. Artyom B. was taken to the Kotayk division of the police and then presented to the Abovyan investigative division of the Kotayk region's investigative committee, where a criminal case was initiated regarding the incident.
