I Hope Armenia and Azerbaijan Can Sign a Peace Agreement This Year: Klaar
I hope that this year we will be able to achieve this, and Armenia and Azerbaijan can sign a peace agreement. This was stated by Toivo Klaar, the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia, during the Antalya diplomatic forum.
“The European Union is committed to achieving sustainable peace in the South Caucasus. The attainment of peace serves the interests of both Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as the entire region, and we will make every effort to achieve this,” Klaar said.
The EU special representative emphasized that the primary responsibility for achieving progress lies with these countries and their leadership, and it depends on their willingness and determination. “Having dealt with this issue for many years, I can say that it is achievable,” he stated.
