Federation Council Calls Navalny's Death a 'Tragic Accident'
Vladimir Dzhabarov, vice-chairman of the Federation Council's international relations committee, has referred to the death of political figure Alexei Navalny as a 'tragic accident.'
'Russia had absolutely no reason to harm Navalny's health, none whatsoever. The man was serving a sentence that he still had a few years left on. I think this is a coincidence, it happens,' Dzhabarov was quoted as saying by the radio station Govorит Moskva.
The senator also stated that 'there should be no noise,' as the West might 'take advantage of this situation' for its own purposes.
We earlier reported that Russian opposition figure Alexei Navalny has passed away.
