Lake Sevan's Water Level Decreased Compared to Last February
The water level of Lake Sevan has decreased by 10 centimeters compared to February 1 of last year. This information was reported by the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center.
As of February 1, 2024, Lake Sevan was situated at an elevation of 1900 meters and 15 centimeters above sea level, in contrast to the 1900 meters and 25 centimeters recorded on the same day in 2023.
During January 2024, a total of 6 million 425 thousand cubic meters of water was transferred to Lake Sevan through the Arpa-Sevan tunnel. The rivers flowing into Sevan are currently in a winter low-water phase.
