Kherobyan Specifies How Many 'Sepuh 1' Cars Have Been Produced in Armenia

To date, 8 'Sepuh 1' cars have been produced in Armenia. This was stated by the Minister of Economy, Vahan Kherobyan, in an interview with NEWS.am.

"The factory has passed the trial phase; now the company's investors are in the next phase of attracting investments so that they can begin serial production," he said.

When asked how many televisions have been produced at the factory whose red ribbon was cut by Nikol Pashinyan, and how many gas cylinders have been produced at the factory where the Prime Minister cut the red ribbon, the minister replied, "I cannot say. There are 100,000 companies operating in Armenia, and it is clear that I do not have information about all of them. I can speak about the 3,300 companies that have benefitted from the government's economic modernization program in the last two years, having acquired equipment, tools, production lines, and factories worth 198 billion drams that are operational. These companies have paid significantly more taxes in 2023 than the subsidies we have provided them. Naturally, we visit various factories, interact with different entrepreneurs, and accept proposals to open exhibitions and factories to encourage entrepreneurs in their business initiatives. Naturally, none of us are the owners, business managers, or directors of those factories. And if some of those factories fail, that is a very normal phenomenon.

Earlier, we reported that Minister of High-Tech Industry Robert Khachatryan, in response to the question about the phase of the 'Sepuh 1' car production process, asked what 'Sepuh 1' is. The reporters reminded that Minister Vahan Kherobyan had previously announced during the summer that Armenia produces 'Sepuh 1' branded cars and even published a video.

“Ask Mr. Kherobyan; the car is not in our field. Perhaps high-tech solutions are used in the car's production, but it is not our field,” said Robert Khachatryan.
