Palestine Proposes Opening Maritime Humanitarian Corridor Between Cyprus and Gaza
The Palestinian authorities have proposed to organize a maritime humanitarian corridor between Cyprus and the Gaza Strip. This was announced by Palestinian Prime Minister Mohamed Shtayyeh.
“We demand the opening of a humanitarian corridor to Gaza and not to be limited to just the Rafah crossing (on the border with Egypt),” Mohamed Shtayyeh was quoted by Al Hadath television.
“We have suggested opening a maritime humanitarian corridor between Cyprus and the Gaza Strip,” the Prime Minister added.
Regarding the health situation in the Gaza Strip, Shtayyeh called Israel's actions a war crime. “Attacks on hospitals and depriving them of fuel can only be called a war crime,” he said.
