Seismic Tremors Reported in Two Countries of Our Region
The Seismological Center of the Institute of Geophysics at Tehran University has reported a 5.1 magnitude earthquake in the western region of Iran, specifically in Ilam province. The epicenter of the seismic activity was located 9 kilometers away from the city of Murmuri. There are no reports of casualties or damages.
In western Turkey, a 5.0 magnitude earthquake has been recorded, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center. Their data indicates that the epicenter was situated 22 km south of the city of Alanya, at a depth of 14 km, in an area housing 112,000 residents. No reports of casualties or damages have been received.
