Palestinians Begin Negotiations with Starlink for Internet Restoration
The Palestinian National Authority is in talks with Starlink satellite services to restore internet communication in the Gaza Strip, Palestinian Minister of Communications Itzhak Sadri told Al-Hadath TV.
On Friday, Al Arabiya reported that communication and internet services had ceased operations in the Gaza Strip amid massive Israeli attacks on the Palestinian enclave.
“One of the ways to restore communication is access to artificial satellites. We have already contacted Starlink and are working with international and humanitarian organizations to import this equipment. Starlink has responded positively,” Sadri said.
The minister also noted that Palestine is negotiating with Egypt to facilitate the passage of this technology through the Rafah crossing.
