“A case of death from measles infection in a child has been recorded in Armenia,” Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan informed during a press briefing.

“I must mention, however, that the child had other illnesses as well, and the circumstance of measles has led to a severe outcome,” emphasized Anahit Avanesyan.

She urged the vaccination of children and individuals with chronic illnesses against measles: “Even if a child gets infected, if there are adults at home, measles poses a threat to their lives as well,” she stated.
