Some Displaced from Artsakh Will Not Benefit from 40,000 Dram Support, Khachatryan Says
Not all individuals displaced from Artsakh will benefit from the financial assistance provided for housing expenses in Armenia. This was stated by Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan during a question-and-answer session in the National Assembly.
It should be noted that a monthly support of 40,000 dram will be provided for each person to cover the housing expenses of families displaced from Artsakh. Each individual will also receive 10,000 dram for all utility expenses.
“There will be one exception regarding the allocation of these funds. All compatriots who have housing in Armenia, as well as their family members, will not benefit from this support. This is logical. All others will benefit,” Khachatryan emphasized.
It is also worth mentioning that the government has decided to allocate a preliminary 10 billion dram for forcibly displaced individuals from Artsakh in the 2024 state budget.
