Martakert Is Fully Surrendered, Mayor Says
Martakert has been completely surrendered. This was reported to Azatutyun by the mayor of Martakert, Misha Gyurjyan.
It is noted that the last residents left the area yesterday, approximately a thousand vehicles, and reached Stepanakert in the evening. He himself was at the end of the convoy.
The mayor of Martakert stated in an interview that there were no casualties among the civilian population, but they do have missing persons. "There are quite a few people we can't locate; we don't know the count or the identities of the missing," he said.
However, Misha Gyurjyan noted that among the servicemen holding positions, there have been 20 casualties.
Azerbaijani media had already published footage yesterday evening showing Azerbaijani soldiers attaching the Azerbaijani flag to the sign of Martakert.
