Currently, Ombudsman Representatives are Holding Private Conversations with Those Detained from the Rally
Under the instruction of the Human Rights Defender, rapid response teams have been dispatched to police stations in various parts of Yerevan to address the detentions related to protests. This information has been reported by the Ombudsman.
Private conversations are currently taking place with those detained, examining the grounds for their detentions and the state of rights protection in police stations.
"We inform you that the Ombudsman's staff is operating in emergency mode, and ongoing monitoring and studies are being conducted within the staff. The hotline numbers for the Ombudsman are 116 and (096) 116100," the statement reads.
Recall that we previously reported that the police in Yerevan have detained 53 citizens.
