According to information received from the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry's crisis management center in North Ossetia, the Upper Lars checkpoint will operate in a restricted mode from September 18 to 24 due to the final phase of reconstruction at the checkpoint.
Information from Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs Emergency Situations Department and the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry's crisis management center in North Ossetia confirms that the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.
It is worth noting that the rescue service informs that roads in Armenia are passable. However, due to major rehabilitation works, there are traffic restrictions on the Alaverdi-Sanahin-Sarahart road segment.
