Erdogan Suggests That the Conflict in Ukraine Will Last Longer

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in an interview with American PBS television that he believes the conflict in Ukraine will last a long time.

“It is quite clear that this conflict will continue for a long time and will not end soon,” Erdogan emphasized.

As the Turkish president explained, Russian leader Vladimir Putin is striving to quickly halt the military operations.

“Mr. Putin is also in favor of a prompt end to the war. I am saying this only based on his words; Putin wants this war to end as soon as possible. That is what he has said, and I believe his words,” Erdogan highlighted.

Furthermore, Erdogan also stated that he cooperates with Russia and trusts it no less than the West.
