Georgia's Constitutional Court Begins Discussion on Presidential Impeachment
The issue of President Salome Zourabichvili’s impeachment is currently being discussed in Georgia's Constitutional Court. This information was reported by the News Agency (TASS), referencing the press service of the Constitutional Court.
"The authors of the constitutional petition applied to the Constitutional Court on September 12, 2023, following the procedure for registering a constitutional application. The application was officially registered on September 14 in accordance with the law. Accordingly, the case has been transferred to the plenary of the Constitutional Court, which will review it and provide a conclusion to the parliament within one month," the statement said.
