Artsakh Defense Ministry Statement on Azerbaijani Misinformation

The statement issued by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense claiming that the Artsakh Defense Army units attempted to plant mines in the occupied areas of the Askeran region at approximately 13:55 on September 17, and that at around 15:10 they opened fire towards the Azerbaijani positions located in the occupied territories of Shushi, is yet another instance of misinformation.

This was reported by the press service of the Artsakh Ministry of Defense. Earlier, we informed that on September 17 at 00:30, the Azerbaijani armed forces violated the ceasefire in the Shushi region using small arms.

It should be noted that Azerbaijan not only regularly violates the ceasefire but has also significantly increased the frequency of publishing false reports, with the nature of these fabricated reports changing as well. While previously the Azerbaijani side accused the Artsakh Defense Army of ceasefire violations or the transfer of weapons and ammunition, they are now making unsubstantiated allegations about carrying out or preparing for sabotage actions.
