Chubais Refuses to Comment on Putin's Remarks About Failures at Rusnano
The former head of Rusnano, Anatoly Chubais, has declined to comment on President Vladimir Putin’s statements regarding the apparent financial failures of his leadership at the state corporation.
“I wouldn’t want to comment on what has been said,” Chubais replied to a TASS inquiry.
Putin referred to Chubais during the plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) on September 12. The President described Chubais's current situation as one where “he has fled” and “for certain reasons is hiding” abroad. He suggested that this might be connected to the investigation into the circumstances surrounding Rusnano, where a “financial pit” has been discovered in the capital.
