Russia Supplies Yak-130 Training Aircraft to Iran
Images circulating on social media today have shown that Yak-130 trainers have entered service with the Iranian Army's Air Force, although there has been no official confirmation from Iranian authorities, reports IRNA.
The images posted on social media indicate that the Yak-130 combat training aircraft are joining the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force (IRIAF), marking the arrival of these Russian aircraft in Iran.
According to reports available online, the Yak-130 training aircraft is designed for combat training of flight crews operating fourth and fifth generation fighters, as well as conducting combat missions against ground and aerial targets under favorable and adverse weather conditions.
So far, no official representative has confirmed this fact, but considering that the issue of the arrival of these combat training aircraft has previously been on the agenda, it seems plausible to confirm the presence of these fighters in the country.
These training aircraft will be used for training new pilots who will fly the new generation of fighters of the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force (IRIAF).
