Today is Lake Sevan Day: Ministry of Environment Reminds Us
The Ministry of Environment reminds us that since 1999, the last Sunday of August has been declared Lake Sevan Day. This decision was made by the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Armenia, which included measures related to this day in its program aimed at the protection of Lake Sevan.
“Dear citizens, every time you visit the lake, remember that Sevan is the second largest of its kind in the world, with unique flora and fauna and invaluable natural monuments. Lake Sevan is not just a recreational area; it is an ecosystem that requires our care. Let us preserve Sevan together,” environmentalists urge.
